Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, School of Engineering, Kyushu University
Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). The Department of EECS belongs to the School of Engineering that is one of the undergraduate schools in Kyushu University. The Department was established by combining three departments: the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Electronics, and the Department of Computer Science and Communication Engineering in 1966. 160 students per year can choose one of six courses prepared in the curriculum after 1.5 years of basic and general education. The courses include electrical power engineering, electronic devices, electrical control systems, communication systems, computer engineering, and intelligent systems. After graduating from the 4-years course, most students go to the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE), which has five departments.
